TikTok celebrity Jehane Thomas died suddenly at 30-years-old on March 17 after suffering chronic migraines.
According to a GoFundMe created by Alyx Reast, Thomas experienced “bouts of illness” for several months prior to her death.
“Despite suffering from migraines and bouts of illness for several months, her passing was totally unexpected and we are all absolutely heartbroken,” wrote Reast, a friend of Thomas.
“Her two children, Isaac (3, almost 4), and Elijah (1), have been left without their mum. I’ve started this page in the hope of raising some money so her beautiful boys can have the best childhood, make memories and make sure they are comfortable,” Reast continued. “Nothing will bring the boys their mum back, but we hope it will bring some relief to her family, knowing how loved and supported they are.”
“Jehane – I promised I’d do what I can for those boys, so that’s what I’m vowing to do. I love you…,” Reast added.
Thomas had more than 71,900 followers on TikTok and often spoke about her health struggles. Before her death, Thomas revealed that she was diagnosed with optic neuritis, an illness that causes damage to the optic nerve.
Two days before she passed away, Thomas posted a video of herself in a hospital bed, where she was waiting for an upcoming surgery.
Earlier this year, former American swimming champion Jamie Cail died suddenly at age 42 in the U.S. Virgin Islands, authorities said.
The U.S. Virgin Islands Police Department launched an investigation into her sudden death. Police said Cail’s boyfriend left a bar around midnight and returned to the home they shared to find her lying on the floor unresponsive.
Authorities stated that Cail “succumbed to her ailment,” but did not provide any additional details as to what her ailment was.
